Superfood Cannabis Chocolate Truffles
Chocolate truffles are a wonderfully delicious treat and can be healthier than you think, thanks to Vancouver nutritionist Michelle at Plentyfullme. She made these incredibly tasty cannabis chocolate truffles with superfoods and Miss Envy’s cannabis-infused coconut oil. You can use the THC option for the perfect snack before bed or CBD for a morning on the go. Whichever you choose let us know what you think! 1 cup dates
1 cup walnuts
2 tbsp hemp seeds
3 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp almond butter
2 tbsp nut milk
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/4 cup Miss Envy CBD or THC coconut oil
At Envy, we recommend starting with a lower dose and increase slowly to find the best dose for you (this also means you can plan to have more than one). To decrease the dose mix Miss Envy coconut oil with uninfused coconut oil to equal a total 1/4 cup. For help with dosing check out our measurement guide.
- In a food processor, add the dates and blend until it forms a thick paste. Add in walnuts, cacao powder, hemp seeds, almond butter, nut milk, and vanilla and pulse until all the ingredients are well-combined, and it forms a wet-crumbly mixture.
- Form into 1-inch balls and set in the freezer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, melt your chocolate chips and coconut oil by either using a double boiler or microwave. (If using a microwave, melt in 20-second increments, stirring after each increment until completely melted and smooth.)
- Using a fork, dip each truffle into the melted chocolate until the whole truffle is coated and set on a parchment-lined sheet tray. Once done, sprinkle with sea salt and put coated truffles into the freezer for 15 minutes to set and harden.
*Homemade cannabis truffles are best stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. (But we doubt they will last that long).
